Silver City Rotary Goals for 2007-08 Rotary Year
The following represent attainable goals for our Rotary Club this year. I call on the support of every member to reach these goals. We can make a difference in the community and do our part to support Rotary programs around the world.
-
Generate the funding to complete the first phase of the Alamo Navajo Water Project, in collaboration with other Rotary clubs in New Mexico and Mexico.
-
Continue to support other local communities in need of water, as emergencies arise.
-
Support our ongoing water projects in Guatemala, in collaboration with Rotary clubs in New Mexico and Guatemala.
-
Foster involvement in all aspects of the Silver City Rotary club, and have every club member designate at least two Rotary club activities in which he or she will participate.
-
Build a culture of acknowledgement within the club, in which all member contributions are appropriately recognized.
-
Expand member participation in the decision-making process.
-
Enhance the quality of our meetings by ensuring excellent programs that increase member awareness of the businesses and activities in our community.
-
Double the number of Paul Harris Fellows in the club (to a total of 22).
-
Generate contributions to The Rotary Foundation averaging at least $100 per member in the course of the Rotary year.
-
Complete the Silver City Rotary Club web site and begin to publicize it widely.
-
Have a net gain in membership during the Rotary year, and go for having at least 12 new members.
-
Continue to build the principal balance in our scholarship fund.
These goals may seem ambitious, but I believe with your support they are attainable.
