Announcements:
Niel: It was Jim's idea to have the dog/car wash for a fundraiser. Money raised was $1,1670.00. This includes the $500.00 from Art, and $100.00, plus from Sunny K.
Most of the money will go to the Silver School District Teacher of the Year, with some going to Cobre school district.
only one FFA volunteer, Lizzie McDonald showed up, so she and the Rotarian volunteers, plus Olivia McDonald and Lily, Dorothy Moore's granddaughter did a lot of work. Kathy Eaton provided emotional support to the 14 dogs!
Niel used his presidential powers luring people to get their cars washed.
Maggie did a great job of organizing everything.
Tom:
Introduced the two school nurses, Jeanette Medran (Silver School District Coordinator) and Abby Crumbley (Kindergarten teacher) and presented them with flowers, a certificate of appreciation and heartfelt thanks for all of the good work that they do for the students. The hygiene program is planned to continue next year.

Asking for volunteers to be on the committee to plan for the club's 100th year anniversary. Meeting next week. Check with Dorothy as to time and place.
Program:
Vladimir introduced Priscilla Lucero, the Executive Director of the Southwest NM Council of Governments. She spoke of events that occurred in the Legislative Session that just completed in March and of the large capital project funds that were allocated to organizations in Grant County. Each organization that received funding worked closely with Priscilla to insure that its application was worthy of funding.
