Program: Bernadette Smyth, our speaker today, introduced by Lucy.
Ms. Smyth has been the Executive Director of the Grant County Community Foundation for 2 and 1/2 years. She is a native of Ireland, has worked and travelled throughout the world for many non-profits, and has considered New Mexico and now Silver City her home. She spoke about the work done by the Grant County Community Foundation in supporting non-profits in this area. On way the Foundation helps in fundraising for local nonprofit organizations is the annual Give Grandly event. The next Give Grandly day is scheduled for May 6. Many nonprofits will participate and by attending the Give Grandly event one can learn about all the good work being done in this area.
