Claudie Thompson spoke briefly about the eight days in the D.C. area, the cost of making the trip with 19 students, and how greatly appreciated the $$$ that Rotary and other organizations in Silver had donated.
Joshua Beck's program was a documentary on "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and placed 10th in the nation.
Isaac Beck, Lizzie McDonald and Kylie Jones did a documentary on Dicky Chapelle, the first female war correspondent to be killed in action. They placed 5th in the nation.
Colton Traeger (with two other people) did a group performance on Olivia de Haviland and her court case against Warner Bros. in 1943. They placed 2nd, just missed going to finals.
Sophia Abeyta did a group performance with two others on Susan
Magoffin and how she travelled on down the Santa Fe Trail. This group came in 3rd, just missing going into finals.
A 14 minute slide show followed showing some of the many, many places they all visited. Each day was very busy--early morning until late evening.
