Guests: Ted Pressler, Bob Manbeck, William Woodward, and Alex Brown, our speaker

Announcements: Ray said there would be a board and foundation board meeting after the club meeting. Jim Callender gave information about the Indian Springs Ranch barbecue fund raiser
on Saturday and said our club can be proud of the support we give them. They do a phenomenal job in providing horse therapy for first responders, police, and military. Maggie Callaway passed around the Fairgate signup sheet again and said most of the time
slots have been filled.

Program:
Ray introduced Alex Brown, the Silver City town manager, who has done an outstanding job for Silver City. Alex talked about a few projects the city has been working on. The new Recreation Center
will be officially open on Saturday. The consolidation of city hall and the city hall annex is in progress and should start this fall. They have had a lot of projects concerning water and sewer
infrastructure this year. All water tanks have been rehabbed. One of the long-term projects being worked on is the regional water project which involves building wells so Hurley will have
its own water rights. Also a water conservation system was developed for Silver City. The city has updated its 40 year water plan and should be in good shape for at least 100 years. In
addition, there have been numerous street projects and have just finished one on Little Walnut. Next year they will be working on Swan Street from 32nd Street to the city limits. They will then
be looking at expanding Gough Park, installing a small tiered amphitheater so concerts may be held there as well as having movies in the summer. The Rock House, the original water source
for Silver City is almost finished being remodeled with campsites for Continental Trail hikers. The city is also working on Vistas del Plata, which is a workforce housing project, which should
be opened up next year. It will have 48 lots and should help with housing issues in our community. He ended by giving a special “thank you “ to Tom Bates who originally hired him.
Mr. Brown then asked if there were questions.

After a question and answer period, Ray adjourned the meeting at 1:00 pm.
