Announcements:
The Auction 2023 Committee had one meeting on March 22 in which the topic of event beneficiaries was discussed. The next meeting will be held on April 19, 2022 at Kathy Eaton's home. All are welcome.
Kathy Eaton had a very sad weekend: She lost her beloved Spunky to an sudden unexpected illness, and Victor Hugo Figueroa, Mayor of Uspantan in Guatemala and a longtime friend and partner of Rotary, died in a fatal car accident.
Maggie will have an update on WNMU scholarships next week.
Vlad said he still has just three high school scholarship applicants and the deadline is this Friday.
Peter Falley has had the Piano Party programs and posters printed and the posters will be picked up by Ray Goellner on 3/31/22. Ray will get them distributed. The Piano Party group will be practicing in Light Hall tonight.
Pastor Jared Secret said the Methodist Church is having a fundraiser this Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 6-10 p m, to benefit the International Rescue Committee. Tickets are $25.00 at the door, with all proceeds going to the IRC.
Program:
NM Senator Siah Correa Hemphill spoke about her family history and the influence the women, especially, had in directing her career choice. She also addressed some of the key accomplishments of the recent NM legislative session.
