Sunny K. added this item after the meeting: As of today, six clubs in our district have earned the 2021-2022 Rotary Citation. The Rotary Club of Silver City is one of them.

Another just received item: Claudie Thompson (NHD Silver High teacher) said the kids who went to the NHD competition in Washington, D.C. had a marvelous time visiting the museums, monuments and memorials.  Even better, three of their projects made it to finals and qualified top 10 in the country.

Program:
Our speaker today was Bill Harrison, celebrating his 100th birthday (a day early) with Rotary and many friends, today's guests. Bill mentioned that he has been celebrating his birthday with the Rotary Club for many years. While his wife, Marge, was alive she always joined in the celebration.

Mayor Ken Ladner read the official proclamation approved by the Town Council, proclaiming June 22nd, 2022, as "James William (Bill) Harrison  Day."

Bill then gave a truly interesting and marvelous talk, telling many stories of his life and various jobs and how his family and friends have helped him to reach 100 years of life.
