Sunny K. Jim Tindall, a longtime member was 94 February 6. Sunny and Linda T. will be taking a card and cake to him today. (sorry, I had his birthday a week early)    Jim Tindall picture below on left. Jim, Sunny & Linda on right.  

On February 9, we will be having a Fireside Chat at my house-5:30-7 p.m. for all to learn more about Rotary. Especially for new members. Beverages and heavy snacks will be provided.
There was an Assistant and Lt. Governor training in Socorro this past weekend.

 

RYLA:  Looking for candidates -boys and girls-completing Junior year. Boys camp is July 9-15, and Girls Camp 15-22. Talk to Will Hawkins or Sunny K. for details. Will said he has a meeting scheduled but needs to check date. Sunny suggested showing the video about RYLA on internet.

 

Tom:  Hygiene Project--still collecting hygiene supplies as we wind up on our District Grant.

 

Art: Tomorrow is the Food Security  project at Bayard Elementary. One more volunteer needed for packing up food at the Commons at 1 p.m., and then load into boxes, and then load boxes into the van to go to Bayard Elementary.

Tom:  I will be part of the team going to Guatemala.  Plus my oldest daughter as of February 1, accepted the position as Director of Doctorate Program for Nurse Anesthetists at NMSU.

Niel: Once again, we heard what was a good story about his son, Sam, and his steer who came in 3rd out of 54 steers, and what could have been a not so good story about a friend's steer's escape.

 

Program:
Steve Chavira (via zoom) introduced our speaker, Daniel Graves, who gave a very informative talk plus power point slides, on what the Grant County DWI/Misdemeanor Compliance program does. The program began in 2012, and is funded through the Local DWI state funded grant.
