Peter F.: I need to meet with the Blues for Polio committee, Linda and Art, after today's meeting.
Also on November 5, there is a Foundation training for the District, from 8:30 -10:00 am, on zoom. You can go to the District website to register.
Sunny K.: Don't forget the Holiday Potluck Party at my house! Friday, December 2nd, at 5:30. There will also be a Dessert Auction. Sign up sheet to be available in two weeks.
The Rotary Leadership Institute is especially good for president elects, and new members. It will be Part 2 on November 19th; Part 3 on December 10th--free on zoom. On January 13th and 14th all 3 parts in person in Roswell. This will cost $35.00. Friday noon to five and all day Saturday.
The badge box will be updated as soon as the member list gets updated. Carlos, please ask Leslie to do this.
Art: Blues for Polio fundraiser to be this Saturday, November 5th, at 7:00 pm., with the reception from 5:30-7 pm. There will also be stuffed animals for sale at $20.00 each. You can buy one, and then donate it back. All monies go to the End Polio Fund.
The Backpack program for kids has morphed into food security at Bayard Elementary. Also doing farm stand and food pantry. We are committed financially and have received about $4,600.00. There are two members who are matching funds.
On the 2nd Wednesday of the month, starting on November 9th, the Commons will be having a packing of goods, starting at 2 pm, and then on to Bayard to unload. Total time about 2 & 1/2 hours, and you can learn what is happening with this grant program.
Tom: Please continue to save hygiene products--needed for the Cobre schools.
Church of the Good Shepherd is having annual bazaar on November 5.

Clara--celebrating our 49th anniversary today!
Annie--my family is coming home after six months!
Jim--this is not a happy dollar, but keep in your thoughts and prayers the owners of Gila Hike & Bike, who were killed in a collision near Hatch on Saturday. His son survived.
Kathy--my Houston son is on his way home right now. Then I have 4 days to rest and will take the train to Chicago to see my other son!

Program:
Ron Green,
the Chief Clinics Operations Officer at GRMC, gave an interesting and informative talk about various departments at GRMC. He spoke of staffing shortages, and the on-going attempts to hire specialists to join the GRMC Cancer Center.
Green also talked of his own varied background before ending in his current position.
