Guests: Dave Konopnicki (to be inducted today), Kim Zaborac, Glenn Outzs (Jerry's husband), Bill Evatt (Kathy Eaton's partner), Maria Biondo Longton, Ron Gale, Kay Henderson and Levi Si.
Mark: Blues for Polio fundraiser: Mark has the posters and would like everyone to take some to hand out to businesses, etc. He also has general admission tickets at $15.00 per person; $75.00 to attend the pre-concert VIP reception from 5:30-7 p m., with beer, wine and food. The concert is from 7-9 p m. There are seven artists lined up. Tickets are available at First Savings Bank, 1221 N. Hudson St., Edward Jones (Niel McDonald) 816 N. Hudson St. and from Mark.
Niel: Fairgate: A big thank you to Maggie for organizing the volunteer work schedule. The fair was very successful. Thanks to everyone who volunteered.

Linda: The Pasta Potluck at our house on September 27th was well attended, with lots of good food and fun. The next Rotary social will be the holiday potluck on December 2nd, at Sunny and Harry Kellerman's house at 5:30 pm.
Linda would like to have a social event each quarter.
Sunny K.: RFE guests are arriving October 17th and the hosts (Kathy, Tom and Art) will be meeting them in Socorro, after having been to Santa Fe and Los Alamos. The group will be our speakers on the 18th, and there will be a potluck supper at Kathy Eaton's at 5:30 pm.
Tuesday morning, before the meeting, there will be a tour of the WNMU Museum. Tuesday afternoon, tour of the downtown and art galleries.
On Wednesday, they will go to the Cliff Dwellings.
On Thursday, they will be taken to the City of Rocks, Palomas for lunch and shopping, visit a winery, and then to El Paso for their flights back home.
We are hoping for 100% participation from our members.
Sunny K.: She has 78 stuffed animals with Rotary logo on the front and "End Polio Now" on the back. These will be for sale at Peter F.'s ticket table for $20.00 each. These can be purchased as a gift for kids, grandkids, kids in foster care, hospitals, etc. Proceeds will go to eradicating polio.
Niel: Next week is a board meeting after the regular meeting.
Happy Dollars:
Niel: We sold our four steers, and five lambs, sold all show steers, paid for all the animal food, and came out even! Our son, Sam, won 3rd place at the State Fair in his class. Niel said he is getting ready for next year!
Tom: The Church of the Good Shepherd is selling an almost new treadmill (used 4 times), cost new $2000.00; will sell for $650.00 or best offer.
Dave: I'm not quite a member, but October 25th is National McDonalds Day!

Kathy Eaton talked of her recent trip to Guatemala, showed slides of the people and other Rotarians. Kathy has been to Guatemala several times, and spoke with deep feelings about all of the work that Rotary has done improving water systems, hygiene classes for the kids, and the wonderful people she met there..png)
