Maggie: Passing around the Fairgate sign up sheet, September 22-24th, and the Pasta Potluck sign up sheet for September 27, at Linda and Ken Lowrance's house at 5:30 p.m. Italian theme. No noon meeting on that date.
Also passed around was a sign-up sheet for the Holiday potluck to be held at Sunny and Harry Kellerman's house on December 2nd.

Mark: The Blues for Polio fundraiser is on track for November 5 at WNMU's Light Hall, 7 p.m. Help is still needed with more sponsors cost $300., tickets $15.00 per person. He is still looking for food and drink services for a reception before the event.
Jim: Jim and Tom , along with Linda and Anacaite, went shopping last week for hygiene products, and spent $915.00. There is about $167. left from the grant. Cobre schools are involved now as well. The club is committed to the grant project for the rest of this school year (the grant project runs to June 1, 2023), but the club needs to decide how much money we can spend. The nurses are becoming dependent on the extra goodies, not sweets but just personal hygiene items for the students. Perhaps we can have a fundraiser to continue the hygiene project after the grant runs out in June and make this an ongoing project. The motion would be to authorize $650.00 to continue the project through the end of the school year. Passed by the club, and it will be brought to the Foundation board.
Ray said the piano ladies are willing to do another concert in the spring. Ben made a recommendation for this project to be a yearly project. This will be brought up to the board.
The Backpack program expansion to the Cobre school district is being spearheaded by the Commons and the kids will be doing the packaging. The Rotary members need to be involved somehow beyond the financial support. There are about 250 kids involved. Sunny K. said that anyone working with kids has to have a background check. This is paid for by Rotary.
Jim said that Niel prefers to keep projects locally for the rest of his (Niel's) term.
