Jim Callender announced that the Foundation Board meeting scheduled for today was being cancelled.
A meeting to discuss the Rotary auction 2023, will be on Monday, March 28, 4:30 p.m. at Kathy's house, 3713 Christian Flury Drive, off Little Walnut.

Tom Bates said all blankets and hand knitted baby caps and blankets (that were hand made and donated by Beverly Westheimer) were delivered to shelters in Juarez. The hand-made items were auctioned off to members; a few were then donated back to the club to be delivered to Fr. Hector's shelters in Juarez along with 15  fleecy blankets that were purchased with the proceeds.

Happy Dollars:
Peter F. (after borrowing $$ from Lucy) offered happy dollars to recognize Lucy's achievement in reviving the Silver Sage, and for his winning a 1st place medal and a shirt in last year's Senior Olympics Bowling Tournament. However, he doesn't know how many others were in his age bracket!

Program:
Beth Hoffman, the Regional Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters
Mountain Region, spoke about what BBBS does in Silver City. Hoffman said there is a need for more "Bigs", and training is provided. She also said that there are benefits to the "Bigs" and the "Littles". She told us the BBBS now has an office in the United Fund building on US 180 and that she is seeking to hire a local BBBS coordinator. Hoffman said she is a Rotarian, with a satellite
Membership in Las Cruces.

Upcoming:
On April 15, 2022, at 6 p.m., there will be a Piano Concert by the five members of the Piano Club, at Light Hall at WNMU. There are 191 seats available. A sample program for the event was circulated for review.
Jim  C. said that because of the Good Friday holiday, he was originally told that no workers would be available to set up Light Hall, but that problem has been solved, and the University has agreed to hire workers for this special event.
