Announcements
Art: Don't forget that the Blues for Polio fundraiser concert will be Saturday night, November 5, 7 pm, at WNMU's Light Hall theater. The pre-concert reception will be 5:30 to 7 pm. Tickets are still available for the reception at $75.00 per person. This includes the food, wine, beer, concert and mingling with the artists. General admission tickets are $15.00 per person. These tickets are available at First Savings Bank on N. Hudson, or Edward Jones/Niel McDonald, or online by going to
silvercityrotary.org.
Art gave instructions about getting "lubed up" and then purchasing the very cute stuffed "End Polio Now" animals. These profits will also go into the polio fundraiser.
Niel said to Art, Mark and Linda "many thanks for all of your hard work to get this accomplished."
Peter: We have some of the six different stuffed animals that will be for sale for $20.00 each.
Peter heard from Peter Hersberg that he is unable to be with us today because he has Covid, but is doing ok, and he says hello to everyone. Peter H. is especially sad because he is from Corning, NY, and would have liked to meet our RFE guests from that area.
Kathy: Tonight is the Potluck supper for the RFE group at my house at 5:30 pm. Lots of food and good company, and the chance to be with our new RFE friends.
Happy Dollars:
Peter F.: Lucy and I are leaving tomorrow for North Carolina.
Steve: Much happiness to come for Carlos Lucero, who is getting married on Saturday, October 22nd.!!
Lisa Norwood of District 7120 said a "big thank you for the wonderful time they have all had while in Silver City, despite the power outage which happened just as today's meeting started. Lisa said there was a PowerPoint presentation that would have been presented, but instead it will just be us telling you all of these interesting facts."
Program:
Several members of the RFE group gave presentations about their clubs and their towns. They also told us about comparisons between New York and New M

exico. For example, the population of New York at 20 million is about ten times that of New Mexico.
